PACE Pesticide dose adjustment for orchards
3. Assess whether dose adjustment is appropriate
- If pest or disease risks are high, then apply the pesticide at the label dose.
- Reduction of label dose may be appropriate for low to medium pest or disease risk situations.
- Note that if you reduce the dose the manufacturer’s warranty on the efficacy of the product may no longer apply.
- Check that any additional application requirements do not compromise target water volumes.
-
Consider that the label dose should give acceptable biological efficacy: for
the worst-case canopy density and growth-stage associated with the selected
orchard standard (1) and pesticide (2).
-
The label dose adjustment may be determined by ticking the done box and proceeding to
consider the adjustments for canopy density (4) and height (5).
-
PACE will automatically generate dose adjustment results for the following generic pesticide types:
products with a pre-blossom label dose, scab fungicides, all other products.
