PACE Pesticide dose adjustment for orchards
4. Adjust dose for tree density
-
The function of the growth-stage drop-down has been improved so that it now changes all orchard data in one click when a new growth-stage is selected. Previously it was necessary to
change the growth-stage of each selected orchard.
-
The growth-rate is an experimental parameter that has been introduced to enable different orchard growth patterns to be predicted from
the limited number of branch-number options.
Previously, a mean growth-rate pattern was assumed. Now different growth-rate patterns can be selected from
the drop-down menu (fastest, fast, mean, slow).
- The branch-number drop-down gives a range of selectable values (i.e. max, std, mid, low).
-
The table below shows the branch-number pictogram for the "mean" growth-rate
pattern.

The table below shows examples of density settings (i.e. % light
interception averages below maximum height and equivalent sigma values) for the
various combinations of growth-stage, growth-rate and branch-number.
